LIMINAL VOID: AN OVERVIEW BY REPACK
Welcome to the Liminal Layer Society, where you join a squad of spellcasters who keep the world safe from creepy stuff leaking out of the Void. Your mission? Dive into the “Liminal Layer,” which is like this weird zone between real life and the Void. But heads up: you’re gonna die a lot. Seriously, death is just part of the game and gets you closer to taking down the Void Gods, who are your main targets.
So, you can pick from four different characters, each with their own style and magic. As you play, you’ll unlock different endings depending on who you choose and who tags along with you. Oh, and by the way, this game isn’t for people with epilepsy—there are tons of flashing lights and effects. We’re working on a safer mode, but for now, you’ve been warned.
You’ll need “Sigils” to battle the Void Gods and keep enemies at bay. Sigils are like the currency for your spells and for moving to the next layer without getting wrecked. Your survival depends on your “Death Counter” and making sure those liminal creatures don’t touch you. When you die, you just get sent to the next random layer, but you lose out on collecting more Sigils.
Liminal Entities are dangerous and will kill you if they touch you. However, they drop souls that you can use to cast more spells. Grab them to beef up your spell arsenal and extend your death counter, giving you more time to find sigils.
To keep these entities from getting you, you can either grab their souls or destroy them. Spells are your main way to fight, with different types for different enemies. Just remember, stronger spells cost more sigils.
Getting to Layer 444 can go down one of two ways: either you do nothing, keep dying, and end up there with zero sigils, making you easy prey for the Void Gods, or you fight hard, stockpile sigils, and blast away at the Void Gods with your spells. They have a ton of health, so it’ll be a long battle.
The game is rogue-inspired with a minimalist vibe, focusing on strategy and managing resources. Death isn’t the end—there’s always a chance to come back in the next layer. Score based on kills, soul snatches, and sigil collection.
Four unique characters with their own backstories and playstyles.16 different endings depending on your choices and your companion.32 unique spells with different effects. 12 skills that can change the game in big ways, like altering time, enemy behavior, and more.
Over 20 different liminal entities, each with their own stats and spells. Guitar-heavy ambient sounds and extreme metal tracks to set the mood. So, get ready for a wild ride!.
