SUMMARY OF READY OR NOT DARK WATERS
This morning, around 0800 hours, a serious situation unfolded on the offshore oil rig “HeavyWell A-101,” which was quickly responded to by the LSPD SWAT team. The “United Peoples Front” a group labeled as a terror organization by the US Government claimed responsibility for the hostage crisis. The situation is still ongoing and further investigations and updates are under the jurisdiction of FISA.
This incident comes right after a failed assassination attempt on the newly elected governor, Whitfield. The LSPD is working closely with the Highway Patrol, Protective Services, and Federal Officials to ensure the governor‘s safety after the botched attack during a political event at LSPD HQ last month. In response to the hostage situation, the LSPD’s new maritime capabilities, in collaboration with the Los Sueños C.O.A.S.T. (California Offshore Air and Sea Team), have helped with a rapid response. They’ve deployed a UH-60 helicopter for fast reconnaissance and to assist the SWAT teams on the scene.
In the midst of these high-stakes operations there are also critical missions unfolding. Mirage at Sea involves a luxury yacht party hiding a bloody international crime operation, while Leviathan sees eco-terrorists overrun an offshore oil rig, executing the workers on board. Lastly, 3 Letter Triad takes place on an abandoned island resort, where a secretive deal is about to go down. To handle these dangerous threats, the SWAT armory has been upgraded with new gear, including rifles like the MK17, GA51, M14S-16, MP5SD6, and G3. Special maritime V.B.S.S. and ATLAS equipment are also on hand, like the Eli-Tec Helmet, Phoenix Flight Suit, and various tactical gear designed to help SWAT teams in these intense situations.
