Welcome to Yurushi the biggest city on Earth. You play as a young engineer who’s just been kicked out of the Niven Megacorporation. Like millions of others, that means it’s time to head back to the Saitama Slums, a massive wasteland full of people who’ve been left behind by AI robots that took their jobs. You’ll be recruited by Red Ludd, a charismatic leader who’s building a resistance group to fight back against this future where people are getting replaced. This groups is called the Luddites.
In Luddite, you and your team will use your engineering skills to hack into these robots and mess up their systems. It’s your chance for revenge after being tossed aside and a way to help the millions of workers who are still about to lose their jobs. But watch out—these mega-corporations didn’t get to where they are by playing nice. If you get caught sabotaging their systems, they’ll come down hard on you.
Luddite is a campaign game that follows a custom made graphic novel of the same name featuring hundreds of amazing pieces of art by the talented Adam Beachey. You can play solo, or with friends, either cooperatively or competitively. The campaign is resettable and can be replayed over and over, with an unlimited number of players taking part. The game mixes classic roll and write mechanics with a push your luck style where you have to race against the clock to mess with the AI systems and escape before they can shut you down.
