So, How We Die is this super cool deck-building roguelike game that kinda feels like a board game or TRPG. It takes all these random chances and turns them into sure things.
So, here’s the deal: Hic and Illec are playing a TRPG where they summon aliens. Then, the next day, they hear about an actual alien invasion happening for real. Their game master, Is, just leaves a message saying, “Come to my place,” and then vanishes.
You can’t get far without some gear. Fight off enemies and pick up different tools to move to new maps and hit your goals. So Meanwhile you can use as many tools as you want as long as you meet the requirements. To be super efficient, make sure to use combos to their full potential.
Dice act as your resources and action points. You can beef up and tweak the dice faces to boost your chances and get better combos.
By the way, shouldn’t we steer clear of making Illec into an alien-worshipping fanatic? I mean, what’s the big deal if it makes the draw count higher?
