In Expeditions: Rome, you play as a young Legatus whose father was murdered by a mysterious political enemy. Forced to flee Rome, you join a military campaign to crush a Greek rebellion. The game lets you take control of Rome is will leading your legion across the Mediterranean. Whether you’re battling in Greece, exploring the forests of Gaul, or navigating North Africa, every decision you make shapes how people see you and Rome. Will you rule with an iron fist or use diplomacy? Will you stay loyal to the Republic, or will you forge your own path and take on the power struggles of the Roman Senate your choices will impact not only your legion but your companions and the future of Rome itself.
You can fully customize your Legatus, from their appearance to their class and abilities, so it matches your playstyle. In combat you will use tactical turn based strategies with a wide range of skills and weapons. As you journey through different regions you wil also bond with five unique companions each with their own backstories. Along the way you will loot craft and upgrade weapons armor and tactical items to make sure you are ready for anything. Lead your legion to victory in three massive campaigns, recruit soldiers, and manage your war efforts as you conquer new territories!
