Escape the Pacific is a super realistic survival game set in the 1850s. You get to experience survival in the wild Pacific, where you’ll need to collect resources, build a modular raft, and learn sailing mechanics and the game has different difficulty levels so you can start easy and work your way up once you get the hang of it. You’ll also need to build a shelter to survive the tough Pacific-like weather and changing seasons. Hunt for food, craft tools and weapons, and even build a sundial to tell time.
You’ll also use a sextant to find your global position and draw your own map using the triangulation method. The world is huge and full of islands and island clusters waiting to be explored and it is all about simulating real-life scenarios and learning how to survive in the wild!
One of the most awesome features in the game is the modular raft-building system. You can start simple with just a captain’s cabin or go all out and create a full survival base. You can add storage sleeping arrangements drying racks for food, and more. The sailing mechanics are super realistic, and you can adjust the difficulty to match your skill level. So whether you’re just starting out or you have mastered your raft the game offers plenty of ways to explore the Pacific.
As you explore the waters and islands you will scavenge for clues and items. You can build a sundial to figure out the time of day, and with a compass and some paper, you can create a map using triangulation. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to explore new island clusters, find a sextant, and you’re off to discover new places!
