So this story written by Koushi Tachibana and illustrated by Tsunako is a major hit in Japan and around the world with over six million copies sold. It kicks off thirty years after Earth starts getting hit by these crazy space quakes caused by mysterious beings called Spirits. Shido Itsuka, a regular student, meets one of these Spirits who’s pretty fed up with humans. His sister, Kotori, spills the beans that Shido has this weird power to seal away a Spirit’s powers.
But here’s the twist: to seal a Spirit’s powers Shido has to date her and make her fall for him! Shido’s all in to save the world tackling Spirits with total honesty as he faces all kinds of challenges. In the latest saga, a new Spirit named Natsumi finds herself in trouble with Deus Ex Machina Industry. Shido steps in to protect Natsumi and successfully seals her powers. Later, after some major drama caused by Origami, Shido manages to reshape the world to protect it and seals Origami too.
Even though there might still be enemies lurking around, Shido and his friends get to enjoy some peace after everything they’ve been through. After a regular night hanging out with friends, Shido has a weird dream. He hears a mysterious voice calling from the shadows. The next morning, Shido wakes up to find a strange container with a snake pattern under his pillow. Thinking it might be a prank, Shido asks around about the container’s owner. But when they finally open it…
