SUMMARY OF BILLY SAVES THE WORLD
Billy Saves the World is a wild story driven platformer where you get to pick whether you want to go all out action or take your time with some adventure and puzzles. So, Billy kinda messed up with his girlfriend one too many times and, on their two-year anniversary, she dumps him. Heartbroken and stuck in the rain, Billy is suddenly sucked into a mysterious portal that drops him on a totally weird alien planet.
Here, Billy has to figure out how to become the guy he should’ve always been, but that’s not all. Ohh and he also discovers some ancient alien prophecy and ends up saving the world in the process. This game is a mix of sci-fi comedy and love and its inspired by stuff like Monkey Island and Futurama. It’s written, directed, and designed by the super talented Cooper Bibaud, who’s won awards for his work.
The best part? You get to pick how do you want to play. You can either dive into action-platforming or slow things down and solve puzzles like a pro. The choice is yours! As you play through the five story chapters, everything changes depending on how you approach it. Every quest level and moment offers different ways to play with multiple outcomes or solutions.
You’ll be running, sliding, jumping, rocket-boosting, wall-jumping, and using some epic Jedi-like powers to explore a cool 2D open world with tons of areas to discover. There are over seven unique biomes, all hand-drawn, with animation done by some of the best in film and TV.
